Gravel riding has always been about freedom. But as terrain becomes rougher and distances longer, that freedom often comes at a cost: control becomes harder to maintain, fatigue builds up, and momentum is lost.

The Ultra² Italia is designed to change that. It allows riders to keep moving efficiently across changing terrain, maintaining flow and consistency where they would normally have to slow down.

Produced in Italy at 3T’s facility in Presezzo, the Ultra² Italia introduces a new construction method, Fusion Carbon, and represents a new chapter in the evolution of the Ultra platform.

Beyond gravel as you know it.

Made in Italy. A new chapter for Ultra.

Starting from that suffix “Italia”, we introduce the most important shift for the Ultra platform: it is now produced in Italy, at 3T’s facility in Presezzo.

The Ultra² Italia takes its name from its place of production. Like the Racemax² Italia, the Extrema Italia, and the Strada Italia, it is manufactured at 3T’s facility in Presezzo and shares the same proprietary technologies based on dry filament winding and Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM), which underpin Jazz Carbon.

Building on five years of in-house production experience in Italy, Ultra² introduces a new hybrid construction process that combines the technologies of 3T’s patented system with selected elements of more traditional construction. We call this approach Fusion Carbon.

Thanks to this approach, Ultra² Italia opens a new point of access to 3T’s Made-in-Italy production, bringing the core advantages of in-house manufacturing to a broader audience.

Complete bikes start at £4425 MSRP, making Ultra² Italia the most accessible entry into 3T’s Italian-made range.

Ultra, redefined.

With the Ultra² Italia, the concept of “Ultra” evolves further, pushing the platform in three key directions: comfort, control and capability.

  1. Comfort: The Ultra² Italia adopts the “3Touring” geometry concept introduced with the Extrema Italia, featuring a higher stack height and shorter reach than 3T’s performance-oriented platforms, such as the Racemax. Compared to the Extrema Italia, the stack height is increased by 10 mm, resulting in an even more relaxed and sustainable riding position. This makes it easier to maintain comfort and control on long days in the saddle, from extended gravel rides to multi-day bikepacking trips.
  2. Control: The Ultra² Italia is designed to deliver a direct and intuitive riding experience. In addition to the shorter reach, handling is influenced by a carefully tuned head angle, ranging from 69° in size S to 72° in size XL. The result is stable, predictable front-end behaviour that enhances confidence and makes the bike easy and enjoyable to ride, even on demanding terrain.
  3. Capability: With the dedicated rigid Fango Ultra² fork, the frame accommodates tyres up to 57 mm WAM, paired with 369.5 mm RAM. This allows riders to use very wide tyres available, increasing grip, comfort and terrain adaptability. Additional design choices, such as a seat tube designed for standard round 27.2 mm seatposts, including dropper and suspension ones, further expand the platform’s functional range.

The result: A new versatility driven by efficiency.

At first glance, the Ultra² Italia may be defined by comfort, control and capability. But its true foundation lies in efficiency.

The ability to maintain momentum across changing terrain is what ultimately brings together very different types of riders: from ultra-distance athletes to everyday gravel riders.

By reducing energy loss and allowing riders to keep moving efficiently where they would normally slow down, the Ultra² Italia introduces a new form of versatility: not the ability to do everything, but the ability to do more, consistently.

Suspension-ready, by design.

The Ultra² Italia is the first 3T gravel platform designed from the ground up to be fully compatible with both rigid and suspension fork configurations; the suspension fork is not an add-on, but a natural extension of the platform.

As an official upgrade option, 3T offers the DT Swiss F 132 ONE suspension fork, featuring:

  • 40 mm travel.
  • Handlebar-mounted remote lockout.
  • Integrated mounting points with up to 3 kg load per side.

Compared to the rigid Fango Ultra² fork (approx. 450 g), the suspension system adds approximately 1 kg.

In use, the suspension fork amplifies the core characteristics of the bike:

  • Comfort, by absorbing vibrations and impacts beyond what tyre volume alone can achieve, reducing rider fatigue.
  • Control and efficiency, by keeping the front wheel in contact with the ground over rough terrain, improving grip and reducing energy loss caused by bouncing.

All of this comes without altering the fundamental riding position, handling or aerodynamic behaviour, which remain consistent with 3T’s gravel performance DNA.

Built for exploration.

The Ultra² Italia is designed to support extended rides, multi-day journeys and fully self-sufficient setups.

The frame features multiple mounting points, allowing the installation of racks, mudguards, and cargo cages. In addition to external carrying capacity, it integrates internal downtube storage (shared with the Racemax² Italia and the Extrema Italia) locked by a magnetic Fidlock system.

The platform is compatible with both mechanical and electronic drivetrains, enabling simpler and more robust configurations for remote travel. For riders aiming at full autonomy, the rigid Fango Ultra² fork also supports internal routing for dynamo cables.

Together, these elements define a platform that is not only capable on rough terrain, but also ready to adapt to a wide range of real-world use cases, from everyday riding to long-distance exploration.

Components and additional features.

The Ultra² Italia introduces updated components designed to expand compatibility and performance across different configurations.

The More² stem now supports both 3T’s traditional 1 1/8” steerer tubes and D-shape system, increasing flexibility in cockpit setup and future upgrades.

Builds with carbon wheels are equipped with the new Discus 45|40 wheels, featuring a 45 mm deep rim and a 29 mm internal width. The hookless construction is optimised for high-volume tyres, supporting the platform’s focus on comfort, grip and efficiency. Compared to the LTD version, these wheels feature white decals and Scope x 3T Sport Series hubs. Total weight is 1,547 g per pair.
