We had an incredible time at Rouleur Live last month, where LOOK proudly unveiled the 795 Blade RS KG Edition.
A modern tribute to one of the most iconic bikes in racing history, the KG Edition honours the legendary LOOK KG86, the first carbon frame to win the Tour de France in 1986. We were joined by Greg LeMond, the first rider ever to win the Tour on a carbon frame, and LOOK had the privilege of presenting him with his very own 795 Blade RS KG Edition.
Born from collaboration with aerospace engineers, the original KG86 revolutionised cycling with its monocoque carbon-and-Kevlar tubeset bonded into aluminium lugs. This hybrid construction delivered unmatched stiffness, low weight, and vibration absorption. Weighing under 9kg, it transformed the riding experience and changed the future of performance cycling.
The new 795 Blade RS KG Edition celebrates 40 years of carbon innovation. LOOK has reimagined the retro graphics of the KG86 and applied them to their fastest race bike yet, complete with metallic decals, exposed carbon finish, and timeless retro details, creating a bike that embodies four decades of innovation, passion, and performance.
Sébastien Coué, International Sales & Marketing Director at LOOK Cycle, said: “The 795 Blade RS KG Edition is a tribute to 40 years of carbon innovation and one of the most defining moments in cycling history. In 1986, Greg LeMond won the Tour de France on the LOOK KG86, the first-ever victory achieved on a carbon frame, marking a historic turning point for our sport.
With the KG Edition, we’ve reimagined that pioneering spirit for a new generation. The retro graphics and exposed carbon finish pay homage to our heritage, while the 795 Blade RS platform represents the pinnacle of aerodynamic performance today.
From the very beginning, partnering with the world’s best cyclists has been part of our DNA. The quality of our products stems from the same unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence that continues to drive LOOK Cycle forward.”
It’s available as both a frameset and a complete bike. The frame retails at £4,600, while builds start from £8,300.
